   Commissioner consulting on police and crime element of council tax    January 11, 2014

Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson is consulting on the police and crime element of council tax for 2014-15.
The Commissioner is considering an increase in the police and crime element of council tax of £3.15 a year for the average home (band D property). This to help reduce the impact of significant central government grant reductions on policing and crime services in Wiltshire and Swindon.

   Best Kept Village - The Original Report    October 1, 2013

How did we win the Best Kept Village Competition? Lots of ways! No litter, no graffiti, no posters on street furniture (lamp-posts, railings etc), few weeds, well-kept grass areas (including banks along the High Street), clean street furniture (bus shelters, benches, playground) and, in a tightly contested competition, the map and report provided with our entry form were crucial. Attached is a copy of the Report submitted, which clearly reflects the pride our parish councillors (both before and after the election earlier this year) feel about our home village

   Police and Crime Commissioner hosting first performance meeting    May 31, 2013

Residents are invited to the first public performance meeting being hosted by Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson.
The event is taking place on Tuesday 4 June at 5.30pm in the Atrium at County Hall, Trowbridge. Commissioner Angus Macpherson will be joined by Wiltshire Police Deputy Chief Constable Mike Veale.

   Suspected arson attack on vehicle in Burbage    January 18, 2012

On Tuesday 17th January at around 7-7.15pm a car parked behind Burbage Village Hall / British Legion Club was on fire. A witness saw another car speed away from the scene. The fire brigade and police attended and the situation was dealt with. There ae no reports of any injuries and if you have any information which would help the police with their enquiries, please phone them using the new 101 number

Wiltshire Police and Wiltshire Police Authority (WPA) are holding a live public online chat on Monday 23 January 2012.
 
Deputy Chief Constable Patrick Geenty, Assistant Chief Constable Mike Veale and WPA Chairman Chris Hoare will be online from 7pm - 8pm to answer questions from members of the public.
 
The live session will provide you with an opportunity to submit questions directly to Wiltshire Police Chief Officers and the WPA on any subject you may wish to raise.
 
It is also a chance for you to have your say on what the Force should be doing in the coming year so that it can consider this feedback when setting Force priorities.
